Breakfast Bowl of Champs!

Serves 1

1 banana sliced

1/2 cup cooked quinoa

3-4 strawberries, sliced

Handful blackberries and blueberries

1 tsp chia seeds

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 tbsp pumpkin seeds

5 or 6 raw pecans

1-2 tbsp almond or peanut butter

1/2 cup your favorite yogurt

Optional: 1/2 cup your favorite milk

 

Assemble ingredients into a large cereal bowl. Mix together and enjoy.

 

Why I love quinoa!

Quinoa is a good source of dietary fiber, which supports gut health, helps regulate blood sugar levels and promotes feelings of fullness and satiety.

Additionally, itis Gluten-Free and High in Antioxidants.

 

I like to make a large batch of quinoa at the beginning of the week then I have leftovers. I often do the same with brown rice, lentils, and other grains depending on my menus for the week ahead.
